Jill Rolfes is the Manager of Sensory Training at The Wolf Group, and has been at The Wolf Group for 8 years. I started as a descriptive panelists, then assistant panel leader, panel leader, corporate trainer and now Manager of the department.
I am responsible for the descriptive panels that go on at Wolf. I introduce new training and train new panelists. Best part of the job is introducing Sensory science to people who didn’t even know it existed, and they find it just as fascinating as I do. Traveling all over and meeting other panelists and exploring different products that they look at, keeps the job interesting. I love new challenges- looking at products I haven’t evaluated before (and that is a challenge because I have seen so many) I am always researching and educating to improve our panels. This knowledge can be used to benefit our clients and give a broader base of work. What can you evaluate with the senses? Anything. Who can use us? Just about everybody!
